Book cover!

I'm very pleased how this book cover came out, especially considering that it was done in 2 days! I love the atmosphere of the cover, plus I'm happy that I managed to do something for a slightly older population of readers than what I am used to:) It's a book for girls from 16 to 20 years old. It's supposed to come out during the Belgrade Book Fair that is opening on Monday. I can't wait to hold it in my hands!!!

Hey everyone, I'm back from my vacation! It was great, except that I'm so tired I need a REAL vacation now! Try running after a 1,5 year old boy all day long and you will get the picture:)))

Remember when you were a kid, and every year at the end of August these Back to school! signs would start popping out everywhere?! Oh that was just so annoying to say the least:)

Well, I'm not in school anymore, but there is still work to be done:) Hope you all had a fun summer!

Can you imagine just how thrilled I was when the postman handed my a package with this inside!!! You can easily recognize my work:) Check out the last photo, it's the work of my friend and classmate Bratislav Milenkovic. On Wednesday and Thursday I had the honor to meet two great people, professors from Konstfack, Stockholm, Miro Sazdic and Tobias Birgersson, plus a bunch of people that I knew from before, just not that well:)

But let me explain from the beginning. I took part in a workshop in kc Grad, called Broochmania, that was held by these two professors. I thought that they would teach us some practical stuff in making jewelry, brooches to be exact. Instead, they gave us much more than any of us had hoped for. We discussed our work with them, analysed it among each other, talked, gave advice and interesting comments and suggestions on how to improve our work and much more. It was truly a unique experience, very hard to explain to someone who wasn't there. I wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone and in some way I think I succeeded. Here are some photos of my work. I made five pieces, But I feel that the one that''s on the last two photos is most complete. Even two days after the workshop has been finished I feel so fresh, positive, inspired. I could not have hoped for more:))

The book that I've been working on for almost 2 months is finally out!

It's full of rhymes, colorful illustrations and stickers at the back:)

I admit it. I have been terribly lazy these past few days, hmm, weeks to be honest:) Spending time with family and catching up with friends. Vasa is getting bigger and smarter by the day, plus he is cuddling which is something that I love:)

The reason of me neglecting this blog of mine is that I have so much to do each day, that sometimes I'm just dead tired. Plus all three of us had some kind of a cold so that didn't help either. Finally! Here they are, Vasa's new friends, a rabbit and a cat, made especially for him. My husband says that Vasa is a very lucky kid to have a mom that makes toys just for him:) I wonder what will Vasa say when he gets a bit older;)

It appears that autumn is here. Vasa is now 5 and a half months old and asking for attention. He is usually beside me while I work, we talk to each other and listen to music:) That lasts about 20 minutes and then he wants all of my attention on him:D So I balance, what else can I do? And I take pictures of him, almost every day:)

Ever since Vasa was born, I had this idea of doing a couple of illustrations especially for him and framing them above his bed. So I finally got around to it and did 14 of them:D Now I have to make a choice, which is always a problem for me. Anyway, although I'm very pleased with these two, they haven't made the cut. The others, I will show you soon.
